Trianglecables offers Hobbes 256653T SMARTest Pen style network tester with Tone Generator. The SMARTest is lightweight yet rugged and great for field jobs.
This unit has a remote unit for testing of cables before and after installation as well as two button operations to make testing a breeze. The 256653T tests for the following pair faults: opens, crossed pairs, reversal, split pairs as well as shorts.The SMARTest is compatible with category 3, 4, 5, 5e, 6 and 7 cables also the Interface has both RJ-45 Socket female and Plug Male on main and remote unit which eliminates the need for cable adapters. The Snap-on remote unit allows quick access and storage and the unit has a low battery indicator.
