The LANID giga will quickly confirm the status of an active port and will quickly diagnose the problems during the LAN maintenance or installation on LAN devices or wall ports. This unit will indicate whether the LAN equipment being tested supports the following capabilities and topologies 10/100 auto negotiation, 10 BASE-T half duplex and 10 BASE-T full duplex, 100 BASE-Tx half duplex, 100 BASE-Tx full duplex and 1000 BASE-T full duplex.The 256665G also has integrated Power over Ethernet function or POE it will identify the existence of POE and the type of the power sourcing equipment or PSE on the entire networks.Finally the LANIDgiga is equipped with a port finder function to help find out the workstation's corresponding port.Simply connect the LANIDgiga to a unsure or unknown wall port and it will transmit a discontinuity 10/100/1000 auto negotiation signal to communicate with the hub or switch.
